Deep within the Time Vortex, the TARDIS appeared in a flash of blue white light, tumbling this way and that in the darkness that was the vortex. It spun for a moment as if getting its bearings, and then, with a swirling shimmer of colour flaring around it, vanished again. Inside the TARDIS, the Doctor was hunched over the central console, idly flicking switches and pulling lever's if it was required, his chin resting in his hand his black framed glasses perched apon his handsome features. Above him the huge crystal and glass time rotor rose and fell steadily like the beat of twin binary hearts. The lights in the console were dim and low, the huge curving walls in shadow, the indented roundels glowing softly with emerald light. It was strange how the TARDIS instinctively knew the mood of the himself alone or those of his companion(s) whenever he had one or more along for the ride. Just as he was about to flip another switch then pull a lever on the console the TARDIS phone began to ring. The doctor turned his head towards it just as Amelia pond came down the staircase and approached the console.

 "Would you mind Pond?"

He asked her nodding towards the phone since it was on the opposite side from where he was currently standing.

"Sure doctor"

She replied and walked over and picked up the reciever.

"Hello?"

She said speaking into the phone.

 "Who?"

he asked then looked towards the doctor.

"It's her majesty doctor."

 She said to him.

 "Ask her what its about"

He said to her as he flipped another switch. Amelia did as he asked her and then replied.

"Something about an escaped goddess on the orient express?"

"Tell her we're on our way"

He said immediately changing the course of the tardis to intercept the orient express that travelled throughout the universe.

"He said to tell you we're on our way"

Amelia replied then hung up the phone just as Rory came down the staircase.

 "Who was that Amy?"

He asked as she explained as the doctor continued what he was doing an excited look on his face.

 (Escaped Egyptian Goddess in question)

( info from wikipedia: Sekmet:

(also spelled Sachmet, Sakmet, Sakhet, Sekmet, Sakhmet and Sekhet; and given the Greek name, Sachmis), was a warrior goddess as well as goddess of healing for Upper Egypt. She is the fiercest hunter known to the Egyptians. It was said that her breath created the desert. She was the protector of the pharaohs and led them in warfare. Her cult was so dominant in the culture that when the first pharaoh of the twelfth dynasty, Amenemhat I, moved the capital of Egypt to Itjtawy, the centre for her cult was moved as well. Religion, the royal lineage, and the authority to govern were intrinsically interwoven in Ancient Egypt during its approximately three thousand years of existence.Sekhmet also is a solar deity, sometimes called the daughter of the sun god Ra and often associated with the goddesses Hathor and Bast. She bears the solar disk and the Uraeus which associates her with Wadjet and royalty. With these associations she can be construed as being a divine arbiter of the goddess Ma'at (Justice, or Order) in the Judgment Hall of Osiris, associating her with the Wedjat (later the Eye of Ra), and connecting her with Tefnut as well.

Sekhmet's name comes from the Ancient Egyptian word "sekhem" which means "powerful one." Sekhmet's name suits her function and means, the (one who is) powerful. She also was given titles such as the (One) Before Whom Evil Trembles, the Mistress of Dread, and the Lady of Slaughter.Sekhmet was believed to protect the pharaoh in battle, stalking the land, and destroying the pharaoh's enemies with arrows of fire.An early Egyptian sun deity also, her body was said to take on the bright glare of the midday sun, gaining her the title Lady of Flame. It was said that death and destruction were balm for her warrior's heart and that the hot desert winds were believed to be her breath.Image from a ritual Menat necklace, depicting a ritual being performed before a statue of Sekhmet on her throne, she also is flanked by the goddess Wadjet as the cobra and the goddess Nekhbet as the white vulture, symbols of lower and upper Egypt respectively who always were depicted on the crown of Egypt and referred to as the two ladies, and the supplicant holds a complete menat and a sistrum for the ritual, circa 870 B.C. In order to placate Sekhmet's wrath, her priestesses performed a ritual before a different statue of the goddess on each day of the year.

This practice resulted in many images of the goddess being preserved. Most of her statuettes were rigidly crafted and do not exhibit any expression of movements or dynamism; this design was made to make them last a long time rather than to express any form of functions or actions she is associated with. It is estimated that more than seven hundred statues of Sekhmet once stood in one funerary temple alone, that of Amenhotep III, on the west bank of the Nile.Sekhmet also was seen as a bringer of disease as well as the provider of cures to such ills, the name "Sekhmet" literally became synonymous with physicians and surgeons during the Middle Kingdom. In antiquity, many members of Sekhmet's priesthood often were considered to be on the same level as physicians. She was envisioned as a fierce lioness, and in art, was depicted as such, or as a woman with the head of a lioness, who was dressed in red, the colour of blood. Sometimes the dress she wears exhibits a rosetta pattern over each nipple, an ancient leonine motif, which can be traced to observation of the shoulder-knot hairs on lions. Occasionally, Sekhmet was also portrayed in her statuettes and engravings with minimal clothing or naked. Tame lions were kept in temples dedicated to Sekhmet at Leontopolis. )

And now she had escaped from her prison beneath the 7th obalisk was was loose abouard the orient express that now roamed through the universe following a pre existing route that it always took. It was much like the train that had once exsisted apon earth before the human race had leaft there and begun to make a home for themselves throughout the universe over millians of years. (About the Orient Express Train info from wikipedia: orient express: On June 5, 1883 the first 'Express d'Orient' left Paris for Vienna. Vienna remained the terminus until October 4, 1883. The train was officially renamed Orient Express in 1891.The original route, which first ran on October 4, 1883, was from Paris, Gare de l'Est, to Giurgiu in Romania via Munich and Vienna. At Giurgiu, passengers were ferried across the Danube to Ruse, Bulgaria to pick up another train to Varna, from where they completed their journey to Istanbul (then called Constantinople) by ferry.

In 1885, another route began operations, this time reaching Istanbul via rail from Vienna to Belgrade and Niš, carriage to Plovdiv and rail again to Istanbul. In 1889, the train's eastern terminus became Varna in Bulgaria, where passengers could take a ship to Istanbul. On June 1, 1889, the first non-stop train to Istanbul left Paris (Gare de l'Est). Istanbul remained its easternmost stop until May 19, 1977. The eastern terminus was the Sirkeci Terminal by the Golden Horn. Ferry service from piers next to the terminal would take passengers across the Bosphorus to Haydarpasa Terminal, the terminus of the Asian lines of the Ottoman Railways. The onset of World War I in 1914 saw Orient Express services suspended. They resumed at the end of hostilities in 1918, and in 1919 the opening of the Simplon Tunnel allowed the introduction of a more southerly route via Milan, Venice and Trieste. The service on this route was known as the Simplon Orient Express, and it ran in addition to continuing services on the old route. The Treaty of Saint-Germain contained a clause requiring Austria to accept this train: formerly, Austria allowed international services to pass through Austrian territory (which included Trieste at the time) only if they ran via Vienna. The Simplon Orient Express soon became the most important rail route between Paris and Istanbul.

The 1930s saw the zenith of Orient Express services, with three parallel services running: the Orient Express, the Simplon Orient Express, and also the Arlberg Orient Express, which ran via Zurich and Innsbruck to Budapest, with sleeper cars running onwards from there to Bucharest and Athens. During this time, the Orient Express acquired its reputation for comfort and luxury, carrying sleeping-cars with permanent service and restaurant cars known for the quality of their cuisine. Royalty, nobles, diplomats, business people and the bourgeoisie in general patronized it. Each of the Orient Express services also incorporated sleeping cars which had run from Calais to Paris, thus extending the service right from one edge of continental Europe to the other. The start of the Second World War in 1939 again interrupted the service, which did not resume until 1945. During the war, the German Mitropa company had run some services on the route through the Balkans, but Yugoslav Partisans frequently sabotaged the track, forcing a stop to this service. Following the end of the war, normal services resumed except on the Athens leg, where the closure of the border between Yugoslavia and Greece prevented services from running. That border re-opened in 1951, but the closure of the Bulgaria–Turkey border from 1951 to 1952 prevented services running to Istanbul during that time.

As the Iron Curtain fell across Europe, the service continued to run, but the Communist nations increasingly replaced the Wagon-Lits cars with carriages run by their own railway services. By 1962, the Orient Express and Arlberg Orient Express had stopped running, leaving only the Simplon Orient Express. This was replaced in 1962 by a slower service called the Direct Orient Express, which ran daily cars from Paris to Belgrade, and twice weekly services from Paris to Istanbul and Athens. In 1971, the Wagon-Lits company stopped running carriages itself and making revenues from a ticket supplement. Instead, it sold or leased all its carriages to the various national railway companies, but continued to provide staff for the carriages. 1976 saw the withdrawal of the Paris–Athens direct service, and in 1977, the Direct Orient Express was withdrawn completely, with the last Paris–Istanbul service running on May 19 of that year. The withdrawal of the Direct Orient Express was thought by many to signal the end of Orient Express as a whole, but in fact a service under this name continued to run from Paris to Budapest and Bucharest as before (via Strasbourg, Munich, and Budapest).

This continued until 2001, when the service was cut back to just Paris–Vienna, the coaches for which were attached to the Paris–Strasbourg express. This service continued daily, listed in the timetables under the name Orient Express, until June 8, 2007. However, with the opening of the LGV Est Paris–Strasbourg high speed rail line on June 10, 2007, the Orient Express service was further cut back to Strasbourg–Vienna, departing nightly at 22:20 from Strasbourg, and still bearing the name. )

It didn't take the doctor long to fly the TARDIS to their destination and soon it materialise aboard the Orient Espress to the sounds of panic and pandemonium as the ancient goddess run amok aboard the train. After putting the breaks on the Doctor, Amelia and Rory williams exited the TARDIS and closed the door behind them so that no one would be able to enter while they set out to recapture and re imprison the goddess in question. First things first they went in search of her majesty and her extended family to make sure that thay were alright. Along the way they would ask questions and gain information about the current situation from staff or passengers that would stop running for long enough for them to do so.

"Doctor how are we going to trap or even reimprison this being?"

Amelia asked him as they made thir way through the train carriges.

 "Don't know yet."

He replied.

 "No plan then?"

Rory piped up following along at the back of him and is wife.

"ah well no not yet Rory, but am working on it. though maybe is we can calm her down long enough we might be able to find out why she's running amok. "

He said. The doctor and the pond - williamses followed him to where they had been told that the current queen was residing and entered the room to see that she and her extended family that was with her for the trip were also in the room and we at present alright.

" Majesty we're here to help just like you asked."

The doctor replied when she looked up to see who had entered the room while those that were protecting here just in case it was the enemy turned with broken chair legs in their hands.

"alright no need for those you can put them down we're friends"

he said to those in question who then did as asked after the ruling queen nodded her head in agreement.

 MORE TO COME : ....
